I’ve used Windows for years before approding to Linux. I began with Mandrake, considered the “simplest” distribution, that is the mostly Win-like. After some experiences with Redhat I decided it was time to try a “pure” Linux distribution.

Here’s a short, simple tutorial on how to build a cable and connect your laptop to a TV, using the S-Video output port of the former and the SCART input port of the latter. I’ve looked for something like this for days, and I think it can be very useful to someone.
You can modify an existing cable, or build your own.
